If your brand uses an Electronic Order form or spreadsheet to enter orders, it is possible to view that data visually using Elastic.
To import the file, you must first create a new order. Select the Catalog that is related to your order form or spreadsheet. For instance, if your spreadsheet contains Spring '22 catalog data, you should select the Spring '22 Catalog when creating your order:
Click on the Select button in the top navigation to go to the Select page, then select Menu in the top-right corner and choose ‘Import a File’:
I - Upload your data into Elastic
II - Review any exceptions
III - Revise your shipping dates and quantities
I. Upload
Click on the Main Menu and select 'Import a File' from the dropdown
Select an Import Method. Paste from Clipboard will allow you to paste your data into Elastic. 'Custom File' will allow you to import from any file format that contains a UPC or SKU and the quantities you want to order. If your brand uses LightSpeed files, you'll see the option to select 'LightSpeed' here.
Paste your data, or chose the file you want to upload, and click 'Next'.
On the next page, you'll select the fields from your data that you'd like to import. Elastic looks for a valid UPC or SKU from your data and a requested quantity. For instance, in the below example my SKUs are in column B and my quantities are in Column F. You can also choose if you want to include products that don't have availability for your selected shipment date.
Depending on your data, you may want to remove the first row by toggling the 'Column Headers' on. You can also change the separator data. Once your data looks good, you can click Next to proceed with the import.
II. Review
Some products may not be available for a variety of reasons. If that's the case, you'll see a page that outlines items that are only partially available, or available on a future date, or not available at all:
Finally, you may see items that are not found during the import. This means that the UPC or SKU that was uploaded did not match any UPCs or SKUs in the current workbook.
III. Revise
Just because an item isn't available on your selected date doesn't mean you can't add it to your order. Click on the calendar icon to pull up future availability for an item that isn't available on your selected ship date.
