Release 2021.4 offers an improved 'Import a File' user experience and updated interface. The core functionality remains the same as previous versions, with a more robust way of reviewing out of stock and unavailable items.
I - Upload your data into Elastic
II - Review any exceptions
III - Revise your shipping dates and quantities
I. Upload
Click on the Main Menu and select 'Import a File' from the dropdown
Select an Import Method. Paste from Clipboard will allow you to paste your data into Elastic. 'Custom File' will allow you to import from any file format that contains a UPC or SKU. If your brand uses a LightSpeed file, you'll see the option to select 'LightSpeed' here.
Paste your data, or chose the file you want to upload, and click 'Next'.
On the next page, you'll select the fields from your data that you'd like to import. Elastic looks for a valid UPC or SKU from your data and a requested quantity. For instance, in the below example my SKUs are in column B and my quantities are in Column F.
Depending on your data, you may want to remove the first row by toggling the 'Column Headers' on. You can also change the separator data. Once your data looks good, you can click Next to proceed with the import.
II. Review
Some products may not be available for a variety of reasons. If that's the case, you'll see a page that outlines items that are only partially available, or available on a future date, or not available at all:
The summary will also list items that might be completely unavailable with no current or future availability within the current workbook.
Finally, you may see items that are not found during the import. This means that the UPC or SKU that was uploaded did not match any UPCs or SKUs in the current workbook.
III. Revise
Just because an item isn't available on your selected date doesn't mean you can't add it to your order. Click on the calendar icon to pull up future availability for an item that isn't available on your selected ship date.
Sometimes what you want just isn't in stock at all! Clicking on the Cart icon will display a list of potential alternative products that are in similar categories. Simply select the alternative and the first possible available date and it will be added to your order.
